My story

In late 2014, I co-founded Pacifica to help people like myself with anxiety and depression—not only to feel better—but to learn they’re not alone.

I had never founded a company before, had no ivy league pedigree, silicon valley network, savings to speak of, or business aptitude. All I had was an intimate understanding of the problem and an obsession with making something people loved.

At Pacifica, we cared deeply, listened intently, and tried to make our product better each day. It meant everything to us.

Pacifica was acquired in late 2018 (now Sanvello). As I look back, it exceeded even my wildest expectations:

I started Goettel Creative, an agency of one, in 2020 and am currently advising early-stage companies on product design, branding/marketing, and finding product-market fit. Comfortable in the weeds or at 30,000 feet. I'm here to help.
